Elogio al horizonte, Eduardo Chillida, Gijón 1990.

Con esta escultura Chillida quería dar "el límite para mirar lo que no tiene límites".

Desde la distancia al contacto con esta obra vas comprendiendo las escalas que contiene, la pequeñez del hombre frente a la inmensidad del horizonte. El pesado hormigón y la marcada geometría parecen gravitar, al mirar hacia arriba olvidas el suelo.

With this sculpture Chillida pretends to put a limit for looking at what doesn´t have limits.

You can understand this work scale while approaching to it, the man smallness opposite to the horizon immensity. The heavy concrete and the marked geometry seem to gravitate, when looking up you forget the floor.
