Es muy simple de entender y a la vista está, el coral cuando vive es rico en colores, cuando muere, sólo queda el blanco.
Estas increíbles esculturas hechas a mano, de cerámica pintada (o no), nos muestran de un modo muy sensible la enorme belleza de los fondos marinos, y nos hace tomar conciencia de cuánto mal generamos al medio natural con nuestro estilo de vida insostenible.
Ojalá que el color nunca se borre.
Courtney Mattison is an activst artist, and throught her work "Our changing seas", she aims to show how coral reefs are getting worse due to the climate change.
It´s not difficult to understand how it goes, when coral is alive it´s full of colours, when it dies, only the white remains.
These incredible hand made sculptures, made of painted (or not) ceramic, show us in a very sensible way the enormous beauty of the seabed, and makes us aware of how bad we generate the natural environment with our unsustainable lifestyle.
Let´s hope that colour will never be erased.
